Allen Iverson Calls Out NBA’s Top 75 List For Excluding Tracy McGrady: “How The F**k Is He Not Top 75, Man? Who’s Doin’ The Voting? Who?”

3 Min Read

Allen Iverson and Tracy McGrady entered the NBA just a year apart from one another and both were among the most exciting players in the league during the early 2000s. Blessed with unreal scoring ability and explosive offensive powers, AI and T-Mac became superstars in the league in no time. However, both suffered from injuries here and there that derailed their careers and stopped them from winning titles. AI was able to garner more accolades, but McGrady’s career sadly petered out quite fast.

Despite this, most players and fans consider T-Mac to be one of the greatest players to have ever played the game. However, he wasn’t included in the NBA’s Top 75 list that they made on the 75th anniversary of the league. McGrady was a notable snub, along with other dominant forces like Dwight Howard, Tony Parker and Vince Carter.

And now the list has been called out by none other than Allen Iverson himself, who questioned how McGrady could be left off the list of the best 75 players to have graced the NBA. Iverson and McGrady participated in a Verzuz-style battle of their greatest highlights during the All-Star break and Iverson took the opportunity to blast the makers of the Top 75 list for leaving McGrady out of it.

“Y’all think this (Tracy McGrady) was just a high-flying act. Nah, this ain’t no joke, man, this was above the rim and below it. This man had it all. How the f**k is he not Top 75 all-time though, for real? Come on, man, we not gonna do that. Who’s doin’ the voting? Who?”

McGrady had a stellar resume during his time in the league. While he was never able to lead any of his teams to the championship or win an MVP, T-Mac was the league’s scoring champion twice in his career, to go along with 7 All-Star selections and 7 All-NBA selections. While it does get kind of hard to pick among the best of the best, Iverson has a good point when questions how T-Mac never made the list.
