JJ Redick and Kendrick Perkins gave NBA fans another taste of their sort of rivalry during a recent edition of ESPN’s First Take, where they really went at it.

Their heated exchange made the rounds around the NBA world, and even another former player had to react to that.

” Perkins went from “I did not, I did not, I did not” to “I STATED THE FACTS”!

Low bar @espn these days, sheesh,” former Milwaukee Bucks and Golden State Warriors player Andrew Bogut tweeted on Tuesday.

This exchange was very entertaining, and many fans reacted to it, voicing their opinion on the things said by both Redick and Perkins. This whole thing started when Perkins claimed that the last three white players who won the MVP award (and didn’t have big numbers in terms of scoring) did it because the voters were white. JJ wasn’t having any of that and took a big shot at Perk.

“What we just witnessed is the problem with this show,” Redick said. “We create narratives that do not exist in reality. What you’re implying is that the white voters that vote on NBA are racist, that they favor white people. You just said that. It’s exactly what you implied.”

Perkins replied to that, but the damage was done. He said he was stating facts while Stephen A. Smith tried to intervene. This was a very heated exchange, and everything points out it won’t be the last between these two.

JJ Redick Takes A Big Shot At Kendrick Perkins

Over the weekend, Redick took to social media to call out Perkins after debating the former center on the current MVP race. Perkins wildly claimed the Jokic was stat-padding, which sparked the reaction of many fans around the league, as well as Redick, who called it ‘BS’ on Twitter

“I want to make a snarky comment about Jokic’s triple-double and Nuggets win tonight, but I’m not gonna do it. I am exhausted by the bullshit. Just enjoy greatness (whether that’s Jokic, Giannis, Dame, etc). I am just gonna enjoy being a fan of basketball.”

It’s clear that these two have a rivalry going on and, every now and then will try to beat each other on the First Take table. This has gone so far that not even Stephen A. Smith expected this situation to turn out this way, and many fans are waiting for the next chapter of this apparent beef.
