Andrew Wiggins is one of the best two-way players in the league, and there’s no doubt that he has been elite for the Golden State Warriors. He notably helped the team win the 2022 championship.

This season, the Warriors have missed Andrew Wiggins, as the forward has been away from the team due to a personal matter. There has been a lot of speculation on why Andrew Wiggins is missing time.

One rumor has been making the rounds on social media, with some suggesting that Mychal Johnson cheated on Andrew Wiggins with his best friend and that their daughters are not Wiggins’, but his friend’s. Mychal Johnson has recently denied the rumor, claiming that it is the “farthest thing from the truth”.

It is unfortunate that with social media, disrespectful rumors can spread like wildfire even if they are not founded in truth. Whatever ends up happening, Johnson denied those rumors. Their family deserves privacy, and we wish them the best. Hopefully, Andrew Wiggins can come back later this season.

Steve Kerr Recently Shut Down Rumors That Andrew Wiggins Will Be Out For The Season

Though some people believe that Andrew Wiggins may end up being out for the season, Steve Kerr recently denied that Andrew Wiggins will not return, claiming that the Warriors haven’t heard anything of the sort from Wiggins or anyone associated with him.

“We haven’t heard that from Andrew or anyone else so that’s just speculation,” said Kerr.

There’s no doubt that Andrew Wiggins is dealing with something extremely serious, as that is the only reason he would miss time. Wiggins has built a reputation as a player that is willing to suit up every game, and he is clearly an ironman of sorts. He clearly loves to play the sport of basketball, and it is unfortunate that he is dealing with an issue that is taking him away from the game that he loves.

Andrew Wiggins has put up 17.1 PPG, 5.0 RPG, and 2.3 APG for the Warriors this season, and it is clear that the team has been inconsistent without him. What Wiggins provides to the Warriors is extremely valuable, and the team definitely needs him to return to do well in the playoffs. However, this is clearly something that takes priority to basketball, and his own well-being and that of his family should be Andrew Wiggins’ chief concern.
