Andrew Wiggins On Stephen Curry: “He’s A Game-Changer. Once He Steps On The Floor, The Game Changes.”

2 Min Read

Andrew Wiggins hasn’t played a single game with Stephen Curry, but he only needed just one scrimmage together for the two-time MVP to impress the recently acquired forward.

After Curry’s first scrimmage back as he prepares for his return from a broken hand, Wiggins could witness Curry’s impact. The former Minnesota Timberwolves forward called Steph a “game-changer” who influences the game any time he steps on the floor.

“He’s a game-changer. Once he steps on the floor, the game changes.”

Curry was recently cleared for contact and he’s stated his intention is returning to action to face the Washington Wizards on March 1 after a three-and-a-half-month layoff.

The Warriors (12-45) have the worst record in the NBA, but the reintegration of Curry and seeing him work alongside Wiggins could add some entertainment to the final few weeks of the season.

In his first four games as a Warrior, Wiggins is averaging 25.6 points per 36 minutes shooting 66.7 effective from field goal percentage. He’s leaving a very good impression for the coaching staff, as earlier Saturday, Kerr praised how quickly Wiggins was learning the offense.

Golden State acquired Wiggins before the trade deadline in a deal that shipped D’Angelo Russell to the Timberwolves.
