LeBron James is undoubtedly one of the greatest players to ever play in the NBA. The King has been in the league for 20 seasons and is still an excellent all-around player who can change the outcome of the game on any given night. Evidently, during his 20-year-long career, James has broken a plethora of records.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar did so once again against the Oklahoma City Thunder when he broke Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record. James received praise from all around the world for his achievement.

But his teammate, Anthony Davis, didn’t seem very interested in celebrating the historic moment. In fact, he sat down on the bench and ignored the moment when LeBron James became the NBA’s all-time scoring leader.

Anthony Davis Opens Up On Ignoring LeBron James’ Historic Moment

Considering LeBron James and Anthony Davis share a very close bond, many were shocked after seeing AD’s reaction. So much so that fans even started to wonder if Davis wants to request a trade from the Lakers and get out of LeBron’s shadow.

NBA analyst Shannon Sharpe was one of the few people who didn’t read much into it and explained that Davis was probably just pissed off about losing a must-win game against the Thunder.

Well, Sharpe’s deduction turned out to be true, as Anthony Davis himself explained the reason he didn’t celebrate LeBron’s achievement was that he was unhappy about losing the game.

Come on now, You know me and Bron’s relationship. I was sad about the game. I mean we’re losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder, a game we needed, and I was pissed off that we were losing. It had nothing to do with Bron. He knows that.

Davis and James truly share a great relationship that isn’t restricted to the court. With Davis clearing the air about the same, the Laker Nation will certainly be at ease and will focus on cheering for their team instead of thinking about a potential rift between AD and LBJ.
