Anthony Davis Makes A Statement About His First NBA Finals Appearance

2 Min Read

The L.A. Lakers probably wouldn’t have gone very far without Anthony Davis this season, who served as their number one option on offense and their tone-setter on defense.

His play on both sides of the court, especially in the Orlando bubble, is a major cause for their success and why they find themselves just 4 wins away from winning the Championship.

When asked to respond to making his first Finals appearance of his career, a clearly pumped A.D. sounded like a guy who’s been here before.

“It feels good. It’s good to get something like this accomplished with this group of guys. We battled through a lot this year, starting with the beginning of the season. But the job’s not done. It’s a great feeling, but we got four more to win for the ultimate goal.

So while we enjoy this, we still got work to do.”

Indeed, Davis has made a pretty big milestone getting this far. And he has lived up to the challenges that big stars often face at this level of competition.

But even he knows that they can’t take their foot off the gas just yet. They’ve got some more work to do before they can truly celebrate, and A.D. will be crucial in how they finish.

For now, though, he is going to enjoy the fruits of his labor as he reaches a point he has never before.
