After Friday’s Game 4 loss to the Nuggets, Bam Adebayo and the Miami Heat refused to hang their heads in defeat. Instead, they came together with confidence and did their best not to lose track of the moment.

During his post-game media session, Adebayo spoke about the task before him and how he believes this Heat can pull off the impossible and make a comeback in the series.

“Take it 1 game at a time,” Bam said, via ClutchPoints. “We’ve seen a team come back from 3-0 firsthand, so we just have to believe and take it one game at a time.”

The team he’s referring to here is the Boston Celtics. This season, they forced a Giannis Antetokounmpome 7 against this same Heat team despite being down 3-0 in the series. While the Cs were obviously unable to complete the comeback, nobody can deny how close they were.

If things break right for the heat and they can hit some more shots in Game 5, it may be enough to extend the series and keep them live for another day.

Miami Heat Need Strong Reinforcements This Summer

No matter what happens in the Finals, the Heat are ging to need som help if they want to make a run next year. With Butler and Bam, they have a core that can compete with the best but if they can add a guy like Damian Lillard to the team, it could give them the edge they need to finish the job.

“I think the Heat are on the cusp of looking for another star maneuver,” said Brian Windhorst. “I would put them on the list for Dame Lillard if Dame ends up getting traded. If he goes to market, I think the Heat are on that list. I don’t know if they have enough.

We will find out soon enough what the future holds in store for Miami, but until then the team can only focus on what’s in front of them and, right now, that’s Game 5 of the Finals.
