The Boston Celtics had a fantastic 2021-22 NBA season. The franchise reached the NBA Finals but just couldn’t get past the Golden State Warriors. All things considered, the Celtics had a successful season and will be hoping to have another great season this time around as well.

One of the reasons why the Celtics lost the NBA Finals was due to a lack of veteran leadership on the team. However, the organization has decided to fix that flaw by adding the 2009 NBA Draft’s first overall pick, Blake Griffin, to the team. Griffin has signed a 1-year, fully guaranteed deal with the franchise.

The 33-year-old has a clear role for the team, and it’s to provide stability off the bench. Griffin himself is aware of this and wants to do everything in his power to help the team win the NBA Championship.

This is a great role for Griffin, who is no longer in his prime. But he is still a decent player and should fit easily within the roster.

Blake Griffin Impressed By The Team’s Chemistry

Despite the fact that the Celtics have a lot of young guys on the team, they went to the NBA Finals last season, It couldn’t have been possible without great chemistry and maturity. Blake saw just that when he practiced for the first time with his new teammates.

Considering the stage where Griffin is in his career, it’s obvious he’s in search of the first NBA title of his career. Joining the Celtics can really bolster his chances of getting a ring, but that wasn’t the only reason why Griffin joined the Celtics. He believes every NBA player wants to experience playing for a franchise like the Celtics.

Speaking of his chemistry with his new teammates, he has settled pretty well with his new teammates, as he is even cracking jokes about one of them.

So far, Griffin’s arrival for the Celtics seems nothing but a wave of positivity. He looks focused, in good shape, and ready to do anything to help the Celtics win a ring. But it is easier said than done as the Celtics will be playing in a pretty stacked Eastern Conference.
