The Phoenix Suns added shooting guard Bradley Beal this summer, putting him next to two other stars, Devin Booker and Kevin Durant. They have one of the most talented trios in the league, but it is clear that three ball-dominant players will have to adjust to playing with one another.

Recently, Beal opened up on how he, Booker, and Durant will adjust to one another on the Suns, noting that everyone will have to sacrifice to ensure the partnership is successful.

“It will be a change for everyone… It will be an adjustment for everybody. It will have to be a little sacrifice… we are all unselfish guys. We all just want to hoop, we all just want to win.”

Whenever ball-dominant players have to hoop with one another, adjustments are needed for everyone to be successful. At the end of the day, there’s only one ball on the court. For an offense with multiple elite players to be cohesive, star players frequently need to be willing to have fewer touches overall when playing with other star players.

This past season, Bradley Beal averaged 23.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game for the Washington Wizards while shooting 36.5% from 3PT range. We will see how he does with the Suns next season, and it seems likely that he will take on more facilitating duties next to Durant and Booker.

Bradley Beal Is Expected To Be The Point Guard For The Suns

As of right now, Bradley Beal is starting with Devin Booker in the frontcourt. Though some have suggested the Suns need to find a true facilitating point guard for their roster, Beal’s agent claimed that Beal will be a successful point guard for the Suns.

“Brad is one of the great scorers in the NBA… I think people are missing the boat if they don’t also see him as a great playmaker… He’s incredibly unselfish, he doesn’t take bad shots… Brad absolutely can run the offense, he can be a playmaker, he gets downhill, he finds people.”

There is no doubt that Bradley Beal is a player who is capable of creating open shots for his teammates off of his scoring gravity. He will be playmaking for two other elite scorers in the starting lineup, and as long as he continues to be unselfish, the Phoenix Suns will be successful.

The Phoenix Suns Have A Really High Ceiling As A Team

There is no doubt that the Phoenix Suns have a lot of talent on the roster, and the team clearly has enough to win the NBA championship. There are certainly championship expectations for the team from fans and analysts, and it will be disappointing if they don’t at least get to the NBA Finals.

In theory, the star players on the Suns should be able to work well together. Beal, Booker, and Durant can all play without the ball and are elite at spacing the floor. It will definitely be difficult to guard all three of them, and the Suns provide a unique conundrum for opposing defenses.

Hopefully, we see the Phoenix Suns find success this season. The front office has clearly done everything possible for the players to win a championship, and we’ll see what happens in the future.
