What started as a great way to start hanging out with some NBA superstar turned out to be a nightmare for 2022 No. 2 overall pick Chet Holmgren, as he hurt his foot last weekend while playing against other NBA players at Jamal Crawford’s CrawsOver league.

A duel against LeBron James and Jayson Tatum didn’t end well for Chet Holmgren, who had to leave the game after hurting his feet during the match. It was during a play trying to defend James that he stood in front of the King, but Bron’s body was too much for Holmgren, hurting him.

Following that moment, we didn’t have more updates about the big man, but Shams Charania of The Athletic has reported that Holmgren has potential torn ligaments in his foot.

“There’s fear Oklahoma City Thunder No. 2 pick Chet Holmgren has suffered ligament damage in his foot and he is undergoing further opinions,” the insider wrote.

Shams adds that the team is waiting to place a timetable for Holmgren, who is yet to make his debut in the NBA.

“Exams show Chet Holmgren has potential torn ligaments in his foot, sources said. A timetable is being determined based on further evaluations.”

He has participated in Pro-Ams during this offseason, but the biggest game of his amateur career was this one. Unfortunately, an encounter with LeBron James hurt him, and we have to wait and see until when he’ll be inactive.

Chet has been criticized for his body, as many people think he will struggle to go against heavier players. This is a good example of what could happen to him in the NBA, but we have to sit and wait before the Thunder releases more info.
