The Denver Nuggets selected Nikola Jokic with the 41st overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. For a second-round draft pick, Jokic has certainly surpassed all expectations set for him. The 27-year-old Serbian international is currently not only one of the best big men in the league but also one of the best players as well.

Joker has won back-to-back NBA MVPs in the last two seasons and is in the prime of his career. The only thing lacking on his resume is an NBA Championship. Despite being a sensational individual player, Jokic’s magic has failed time after time in the postseason.

Another NBA player who went through a similar issue was former Utah Jazz star Rudy Gobert. After giving his best to the Jazz for years, the 7’1″ center got traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves. He is currently a part of the Timberwolves’ Big 3, featuring him, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Anthony Edwards.

But today, our focus is not on that. Instead, it is on a hilarious clip of Jokic technically praising Rudy Gobert for being a good player. However, during the video, Jokic stopped at a point and avoided some double-meaning words that got him in trouble earlier.

He’s amazing, I think first of all, and then he’s moving his feet well. He’s long… I’m not gonna say it. So close.”

Jokic was referring to the time when he previously praised Wendell Carter Jr. During that interview, Jokic said, “No homo, he’s longer than you’d expect.”

The league believed this was an offensive comment, and the Denver Nuggets superstar was fined for his comments. That’s why Jokic was very careful about what he said about Gobert. Because for an instant, it felt like he was about to repeat the same mistake.
