Chris Paul On The Western Conference Playoffs: “West Ain’t Never Been Easy.”

OpenCourt-Basketball -

Chris Paul is one of basketball’s best point guards. Even at 36-years-old, he remains a top-tier star in this league.

And as he prepares to do battle with the Phoenix Suns, he isn’t going to let himself, or his team, underestimate what’s in front of them.

“I’ve been in the West my whole career. West ain’t never been easy. I don’t care who you playin’, what series it is, what game it is. I played in New Orleans when I was in that division with Memphis, Houston with Yao and T-Mac, and Dallas when they was nice with Dirk and Stackhouse and all them. The West has always been a beast, so if you try to matchup with somebody else, you will still get it handed to you. You can’t duck nobody if you’re trying to win it all.”

Of course, one of the biggest blemishes of Paul’s resume is the fact that he’s got no Championships to his name. In fact, he’s never even been to the Finals, and a lot of that might be because he’s been in the West all of his career.

Over the years, he’s had to play against absolute powerhouses like the Spurs, Grizzlies, Warriors, and (now), the Lakers.

It has never been an easy ride for CP3. This year, however, he seems especially p for the challenge.
