Los Angeles Lakers forward Christian Wood has recently been granted a temporary restraining order against his ex-girlfriend, model Yasmine Lopez, following a series of alarming incidents that have left Wood alleging emotional distress and property damage.

The 28-year-old NBA star has accused Lopez, with whom he shares an eight-month-old son named Kobe Sean, of a disturbing pattern of behavior, culminating in several concerning episodes detailed in court documents.

According to Wood’s allegations, the most recent incident occurred on February 23, 2024, when Lopez and her friends reportedly trespassed onto Wood’s California property, vandalizing his Mercedes-Benz by scratching the hood and doors.

The situation escalated when Lopez proceeded to enter another vehicle on the premises and wandered around Wood’s yard, prompting concerned neighbors to contact the authorities. Subsequently, Lopez was arrested, but not before allegedly refusing to hand over their son to Wood and making false allegations against him to the media.

This incident is just one in a series of troubling encounters outlined by Wood in his court filings. In August 2023, Lopez allegedly broke into Wood’s home in Encino, causing extensive damage to property and attempting to physically assault him.

Similar accusations arise from a previous incident in January 2023, during Wood’s tenure with the Dallas Mavericks, where Lopez purportedly trespassed onto his property and spray-painted his Lamborghini.

Wood’s restraining order against Lopez comes with strict stipulations aimed at ensuring his safety and peace of mind. Lopez is required to maintain a distance of 100 yards from Wood at all times, with exceptions only for brief and peaceful contact related to discussions about their child.

Additionally, the court order explicitly prohibits Lopez from engaging in any abusive behavior towards Wood, including harassment, threats, or stalking. Furthermore, Lopez is barred from possessing a firearm for the duration of the restraining order, which is set to expire on March 20, 2024.

As the Lakers star navigates this challenging situation, he remains focused on protecting himself and his son from further harm, seeking legal recourse to address the alleged misconduct perpetrated by his ex-girlfriend. The restraining order serves as a crucial measure to safeguard Wood’s well-being and ensure a sense of security amidst the tumultuous events he has endured.
