DeMar DeRozan was one of the Chicago Bulls’ big-name acquisitions this summer, with the veteran forward signing a 3-year $85 million dollar deal with the Chicago Bulls. DeMar DeRozan is a midrange master, who will give the Chicago Bulls another shot creator next to Zach LaVine.

The Chicago Bulls’ addition of Lonzo Ball and DeMar DeRozan next to their pre-existing star duo of Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic gives the team a lot of offensive talent on the court. Stacking talent is a good start to building a competitive team, however on-court fit and chemistry matter as well. It will take some time from the start of the season for the Chicago Bulls to play as a cohesive unit.

Stephen A. Smith was one of the people that brought up the idea of Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan not being able to work together. However, DeMar DeRozan brushed off any concerns about fit, and suggested that as long as everyone is on the same page in terms of winning, there will be no problems.

I mean, it’s basketball. You know, a lot of people I see criticize and talk about ‘fit this, fit that’ probably never even played basketball. Being a basketball player, you go out and play at the park. Some of your best teams is against guys you don’t even know, that you go out and compete with. For me, if everybody is on the same page and mentality and wants to win, it doesn’t matter about a fit. Because it’s all going to come together how it needs to come togehter and make it work because at the end of the day, the commond denominator is winning. If you have that mentality going into it, everything will be figured out how it needs to be figured out in the process. That’s where chemistry is built.

DeMar DeRozan seems confident in the Chicago Bulls core being able to work it out and start winning next season. The Chicago Bulls have an opportunity to be a playoff team next season, and hopefully, they are able to end their drought from the postseason.
