DeMar DeRozan revealed Kevin Durant’s approach to practice with the USA Olympics team and how the latter wouldn’t get off the court.

Speaking to Paul George on Podcast P, the Chicago Bulls legend recollected the time how Durant put in the hard yards during practice.

“I used to sit there, watch all of them play 1-on-1. Them m*****f****** was hooping every time. [Kevin Durant] won’t stop, you got to walk off the court.”

Durant is known for his admirable work ethic and the forward played with DeRozan in the Rio Olympics in 2016. The rest of the roster also had Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Harrison Barnes, Kyrie Irving, Paul George, Jimmy Butler, DeMarcus Cousins, and DeAndre Jordan. Carmelo Anthony and Kyle Lowry complete the list.

And in a team of competitive players, Durant was the natural leader setting the tone with an intense practice session. That effort translated into Team USA winning the gold at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Can Kevin Durant Win An NBA Title With His Newly-Formed Superteam?

All eyes will now be on Kevin Durant to see if he can indeed win a title with the Phoenix Suns. He linked up with Devin Booker last season but failed to get past the second round of the playoffs. Now, he has Bradley Beal in the mix.

Durant was one of the parties instrumental in getting Beal to Phoenix. “Last week Bradley Beal and the Wizards worked on finding him a trade because the Wizards are clearly moving towards a rebuild. They started working together on finding him a home,” said The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

“The Phoenix Suns aggressively went after Bradley Beal. From James Jones to Frank Vogel to Mat Ishbia to Josh Bartelstein, their CEO and even some players — I’m told even Kevin Durant and Devin Booker recruited Bradley Beal. There were conversations with both Beal and his wife Kamiah. This team is all-in on a championship.”

The big question is if he can indeed win another title, and this time with a new team. Only time will tell.
