Superstar LeBron James is the face of the Los Angeles Lakers, and there’s no doubt that many respect him for his elite offense and playmaking. However, there are other unheralded aspects of his game that aren’t as heralded by fans.

In Game 3 against the Golden State Warriors, LeBron James made a huge hustle play that ended with him in the stands. While a majority of superstar players generally don’t put their bodies on the line like that, it is clear that LeBron James is willing to do that to get important wins. After the game, Dennis Schroder revealed that this is inspiring for the Lakers, adding that the rest of the team has to “do the same thing”.

“Making hustle plays like that. Putting everything on the line. Seeing him after the game really don’t have no energy no more, that’s what we need from him,” Schroder said post-game. “For our ball club, it means a lot. I think everybody in here knows we gotta do the same thing what Bron does and match it and it’s just great to see.”

There is no doubt that hustle plays are an important part of basketball, and generally, players who are willing to sacrifice their bodies and make plays like that are appreciated by their teammates.

In the playoffs, LeBron James is averaging 22.1 PPG, 10.3 RPG, and 5.1 APG for the Los Angeles Lakers. He is having a solid postseason run thus far, though the Lakers will need more from him offensively if they want to move on to the Western Conference Finals.

LeBron James Knows The Series Against The Warriors Is Far From Over

After the Lakers took a 2-1 lead against the Warriors, LeBron James sent a stern message to the Lakers, warning his team not to “get comfortable,” noting that they can’t do that when facing the Golden State Warriors.

“Just don’t get comfortable,” LeBron said. “We don’t have the luxury to get comfortable versus a Golden State team. As long as we stay uncomfortable knowing that they can run off three straight versus us or whatever they want to if we get comfortable. So, it’s about maintaining our habits, understanding that this team is very dangerous, and never get comfortable when you hit the floor with these guys.”

It will be interesting to see how the rest of the series goes for the Los Angeles Lakers. There’s no doubt that the Warriors will come back with a vengeance in Game 4, and we’ll see what happens in the future.
