  • Derrick Rose opened up on his rape allegations from 2015
  • Rose claimed that the accuser’s story was fabricated
  • It was also added that the woman ended up owing Rose $20K-$30K after the trial

Point guard Derrick Rose is highly regarded by many fans, even though his prime with the Chicago Bulls was extremely short. Rose notably won the 2011 MVP, and many believe that he could have been dominant in the league if he ended up staying healthy.

Though usually we talk about Rose in an on-court context, the point guard was notably part of a court case during his first stint with the New York Knicks, being accused of raping his girlfriend. Recently, Rose gave his take on the allegations, accusing the woman of lying and adding that she ended up owing him money after the court case.

“She say that we r*ped her, sneaking into her apartment, and running a train on her without her not knowing… drugged. It was so far from the truth. You let us into the apartment, we went in one at a time, it was so far from a f**king train. She went and told the story, lied about, and by the end of it, she owed some bread from it… If anything, she owed me $20,000-30,000 after the court case.”

It is clear that Derrick Rose believes that the allegations against him were false, and he is in no legal trouble as of right now. We’ll see if the woman ends up responding to Rose’s perspective about what happened.

Derrick Rose Was Unhappy With His Role On The Knicks Last Season

This summer, Derrick Rose signed a deal with the Memphis Grizzlies, and it is clear that the team wanted him to be the backup point guard behind Ja Morant, especially after losing Tyus Jones. It remains to be seen how he does next year, as he was unhappy with his role on the New York Knicks.

There is no doubt that Derrick Rose has had a long career with many stops, and the Memphis Grizzlies will definitely be a new situation for him. We’ll see if he has an impact on the team, especially during Morant’s absence.
