As of right now, it is fair to say that Devin Vassell is a 3 and D player, who is capable of guarding either backcourt position and even some wings. He is a great player off-ball as well and fits well within the San Antonio system. It is easy to see why the team decided to keep the young guard.
This past season, Devin Vassell averaged 18.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game for the Spurs, while shooting 38.7% from 3PT range. He still has some room to grow in terms of slashing to the basket and creating his own shot from the midrange, and it’ll be interesting to see how he does next season.
