James Harden went to Las Vegas after the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the 2023 NBA Playoffs. The Beard made the most of his free time and traveled to this famous city, even though some people questioned that decision.

Doc Rivers recently talked about this, explaining that he had no problem with Harden going to Las Vegas. In fact, he compared it to Dennis Rodman’s infamous trip to the same city in 1998.

“It’s funny,” Rivers said. “James called me before he went, and I was like, ‘So what? Do it.’ Dennis Rodman went to Vegas. They asked me about it, and I said, ‘We had three days off.’ I told them to do whatever they want. He’s a grown man. I didn’t care.”

“Don’t hit anybody, but, you know …” Rivers added.

The Beard seemingly had fun in Las Vegas and returned to the team, ready to help it reach important stages in the 2023 playoffs. Things started very well for him, dropping 45 points on the Boston Celtics and stealing Game 1 in the second round of the playoffs.

He didn’t have the best performance in Game 2, having a very discreet night, just like the rest of the Sixers. Many think that Joel Embiid’s presence hurt the team’s ball movement, and Harden also struggled with that. They need to make adjustments for Game 3, or the situation could be worse.

James Harden Was Spotted Smacking Somebody Outside A Las Vegas Casino

Even though his trip to Las Vegas was to have fun, Harden was recorded having some sort of argument with somebody and smacking this person outside a casino. Reports say this wasn’t a big deal, and the player and the other person went about their night, but it was wild to see this.

Harden showed that he still got it, and if the Sixers ask him, he will step up for his team. It remains to be seen if Doc Rivers can find the balance between the Beard and Embiid. If they can impact the game the same way, Philadelphia will have a big chance to beat Boston and whoever makes it out of the Knicks vs. Heat series.
