Donovan Mitchell Goes On Angry Rant About Referees After Being Ejected From Game: “It’s Getting F**king Ridiculous…”

2 Min Read

Just a day after Devin Booker’s controversial ejection against the Lakers, Jazz star Donovan Mitchell was tossed from his team’s game versus the 76ers — prompting yet another night of slander towards the refs and the current state of NBA officiating.

Following the game, which added to Utah’s loss column, Mitchell went on an angry rant, demanding change and accountability from the league.

“It’s tough to go out there and see how we fight and compete and to have a game like that taken from us. It’s getting f**king ridiculous that this is what’s happening. I’m sick of it, we all are. It’s really getting out of hand. The league has to do something about this.”

Needless to say, people are tired of all the “soft” calls the officials are making. Not only is it decreasing the value of games, it’s also dramatically inhibiting the intensity.

If guys aren’t able to go all-out during or after a play without feeling at risk of getting a technical, it really makes it tougher for them to get truly invested, which takes away from the overall fan experience.

Booker, Mitchell, and countless others are calling for change. But what happens from here will be on Adam Silver the NBA executives to decide.
