LeBron James’ Epic Response To Zlatan Ibrahimovic: “Stick To Sports…”

2 Min Read

LeBron James was recently called out by soccer star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who said LeBron should stop taking such a strong stance on political issues and focus on just being an athlete instead.

Needless to say, many (including James himself) have fought back against that rhetoric and on Wednesday, LeBron took a veiled shot at Zlatan and those who share his mindset, posting a sarcastic 3-word tweet in response to some news about Kelly Loeffler…

To make a long story short, former U.S. Senator Kelly Loeffler was pretty much forced to sell her stake of the WNBA team, the Atlanta Dream, which funnily enough, was eventually bought out by one of her former players, Renee Montgomery.

To LeBron, all that Montgomery has done since taking over is proof that players can and should venture out and spread their influence in a multitude of ways.

Similarly, had guys like Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan, Jesse Owens, and Aruther Ashe stuck to sports, they would not have achieved the amazing things they did throughout their lifetime.

Still, Zlatan’s words do also ring with truth. Athletes are not experts at politics, and it’s probably not a good idea to look towards LeBron James for guidance on political and social issues.

Regardless, you can’t expect him to stay silent on issues he firmly believes in.
