Patrick Beverley Responds To NBA’s Defensive Player Of The Year Rankings

1 Min Read

Ben Simmons was at the top of NBA.com’s latest DPOY ranking, leading Rudy Gobert, Myles Turner, LeBron James, and Jamal Murray.

Missing from the list is notorious defensive point guard Patrick Beverley, who expressed his disbelief on Twitter.

Pat isn’t very popular amongst the fans, but his play on the defensive end is no joke. He’s a pest against his opponents and goes through whatever means necessary to get in their head and disrupt their offense.

This season, the Clippers have been pretty solid on both ends of the floor.

Still, despite those facts, a lot of fans are still not yet convinced Beverley has any claim to touch the likes of Simmons and Gobert on the NBA’s DPOY list.

Ben Simmons is likely headed towards the victory here, but there is still plenty of time for Bev to earn consideration.

Love him or hate him, it’s pretty obvious that many teams don’t like to play against him, which has got to count for something. We’ll see what he’s able to do the for rest of the season.
