Draymond Green was one of the main talking points during the NBA Finals for a lot of reasons. First, it was his antics on the court, then his bad play, and then his insistence on doing a podcast after the games. The podcast in particular was becoming a major talking point as the series went on, with many questioning the need for something like that when the series was hanging in the balance.

A reporter even asked Draymond if his podcasts were giving away their game plan to the Celtics and Green, who was very annoyed by that question, stated it gave nothing away. It turns out that the Celtics coaches were actually watching the podcast to see if Green was giving away something they could take advantage of but there clearly wasn’t anything too revealing in them, as the Warriors won the series in 6 games. As you might expect, Draymond has been very active on social media after their triumph and he responded to that report.

” appreciate the support”

That is in line with what Green said when that reporter questioned him too, as he’d thanked him sarcastically for promoting the podcast. Green has stated that the podcasts aren’t going anywhere and he would only have been emboldened even more after they won the title while he was doing it.

At the end of the day, the focus on the podcast largely came because of Green’s sub-par play on the court and he had been truly awful early on in the series. He did end things on a good note with a fine showing in Game 6 as he finished with 12 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists and if we see more performances like those, then the podcast wouldn’t be such a big talking point after these games.
