The Atlanta Braves won the World Series last night, capping off an incredible season. Incredibly, Charles Barkley had picked the Atlanta Braves to win it all, even giving it the famous ‘Chuck Guarantee’. And Draymond Green believes that his guarantee may have become more accurate now.
Draymond Green took to Twitter after the Braves’ World Series win, stating that Charles Barkley’s guarantees may be turning a corner after he correctly predicted the Milwaukee Bucks and the Atlanta Braves to win their respective league’s championships.

The ‘Chuck Guarantee’ had been notorious for being wrong on a regular basis. In fact, until June of 2021, Barkley had gone 1-11 on his ‘Chuck Guarantees’, only getting Phoenix Suns winning 2 games against the Lakers after Anthony Davis’ injury left the Lakers weaker.
Chuck is 1-11 on his last 12 guarantees.

Barkley had a poor run of luck during the summer, with his picks during the NBA playoffs. Granted, last year’s playoffs were unprecedented, with more superstars getting injured during the playoffs than any other postseason in recent memory. But to have such a poor record didn’t look great for his guarantees.
But he seemed to have got it right toward the end, picking the Milwaukee Bucks to win the NBA championship. It looked like a ‘Chuck Guarantee’ was a seal of bad luck for any team, especially after the Bucks went down 2-0 to the Suns in the Finals. But their rally in the next 4 games ultimately proved Barkley right.
While Barkley is not as well-versed in his knowledge of baseball as compared to his knowledge of basketball, he was still able to correctly pick the Braves to win the World Series. Perhaps Draymond is right, and teams will be better off if they get a ‘Chuck Guarantee’ from Charles Barkley.
