Back in 2016, Kobe Bryant was discussing several topics in an interview with The Ringer. One of those topics he talked about was death and Black Mamba had a clear response to his relationship with these situations.

“You can’t have life without death. You can’t have light without dark,” the Los Angeles Lakers legend said.

Kobe lost his life on Sunday in a helicopter crash. Besides him, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven other people were killed in the tragic accident.

It’s important to reflect on his words. Right now, where he isn’t with us anymore, people have started to show their love to the Black Mamba, honoring him in any way they find. Kobe was a light to this world, a true inspiration for several basketball players and athletes in general.

A week after his death, we could see the life coming out of death, and the light coming out of the dark.
