Fans React After Lakers Make NBA Finals For The First Time In 10 Years

With the 117-107 victory over the Nuggets in Game 5, the Los Angeles Lakers have officially secured their ticket to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2010.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis led the show, combining for 65 points, 21 rebounds, and 13 assists.

With the Lakers now just 4 wins away from their 17th title, and LeBron’s fourth, the NBA community was raging with reactions all night long in the aftermath of L.A.’s huge night. Here are some of the bets that we saw:

When LeBron James signed with the @Lakers he told us he would get us back to the NBA Finals and he’s definitely kept his word.

LeBron James will reach his 9th NBA Finals in the past 10 seasons.

Greatness.

What y’all expect? LeBron James has spent 58% of his career in the NBA Finals. I don’t care if it’s Cleveland, South Beach or a Bubble — getting to the finals is just another day at the office for Mr. James! #justakidfromAkron#butheResidesinNBAFinals

Carry on…

Think about the calendar year the Los Angeles Lakers have had. And here they are in the Finals, 12-3 in the playoffs, waiting for their opponent. Beyond impressive.

LeBron, nearing the end of his 17th season, got a huge break when he got 5 months off to get ready for a playoff push. Now he gets to rest again as Boston and Miami battle it out. What a Covid championship this will be for LeBron.

The Nuggets should be credited for a great season. To overcome two 3-1 deficits against talented teams like the Jazz and Clippers is no joke, and they proved that they’ll be players in the West for years to come.

And for the Lakers, while today’s win must feel good, the job is not yet finished. They still have to win four more games and as they wait for their next opponent (Boston or Miami), you can bet they’ll be ready when its time to suit up again.
