Draymond Green Responds To Paul Pierce’s Comments On LeBron: “You Still Fear Bron… Shut Up Already! We Get It!”

2 Min Read

Paul Pierce has once again made bold claims about LeBron James and today’s NBA. During Friday’s edition of ESPN’s NBA Countdown, the Boston Celtics icon slammed all the players in today’s league, stating they were afraid of LeBron, contrary to what happened during his days, where players enjoyed the challenge of facing James.

“Players today are scared of LeBron,” Pierce said. “If they see LeBron standing in front of them, fear shakes in them. I know this. My era is out the league, we weren’t afraid of LeBron. But these guys today, he strikes fear into these guys.”

Of course, that didn’t sit well around the league and one player decided to respond to Pierce. Draymond Green is one of the most outspoken players in the league and this time, he didn’t shut up his opinion, taking a big shot at Pierce and his comments.

“Enjoy retirement man,” Green wrote back at Pierce on his Instagram story. “You still fear Bron . . . Shut up already! We get it!”

It’s well known that Green isn’t a fan of Pierce. Back in the day, the Golden State Warriors star trash-talked Pierce as he was nearing the end of his career. Green was merciless with The Truth, telling him he wasn’t Kobe Bryant.

“You can’t get no farewell tour, they don’t love you like that. You thought you was Kobe?” Draymond said during a game.

Every time Pierce opens his mouth to talk about LeBron James, plenty of people come in Bron’s defense. It’s not common to see players doing it, but this time Green wasn’t having it. He messed with the entire league and the 3x NBA champion wasn’t having it.
