The Los Angeles Lakers might just lose to the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight but LeBron James looks well on his way to ensuring he becomes the all-time leading scorer in NBA history.

LeBron James needs 16 points in the second half and has made arrangements to make sure his friends and family could attend this game. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is also in attendance to watch his own record get broken.

The cameramen are panning to Kareem after almost every LeBron bucket. Considering he scored 20 points in the first half, there were a lot of buckets. Fans are laughing out loud at Kareem looking very upset in the crowd.

LeBron is bound to make history tonight unless he completely falls apart in the second half. Hopefully, his quest for the record also sees his teammates show up and beat the 12th-seeded OKC Thunder to keep their playoff push alive.

The Anticipation For A History-Making Bucket

Considering the ludicrous prices at which tickets for this game were sold, the fans would be really upset if James can clinch the record tonight. Given Kareem is also in attendance, it seems perfect for LBJ to break it tonight itself. Midway through the third quarter, James needs just 8 more points in the final quarter and a half of the game.

The Oklahoma City Thunder looks determined to play spoilsport on this night and steal this game from the Lakers. James has had incredible scoring performances in losses before, so whether he breaks the record or not won’t make a difference to the ultimate result if the other Lakers on the court can’t pick the pace up and deliver this win for James.
