Giannis Antetokounmpo played in his 712th game for the Milwaukee Bucks in their win over the Toronto Raptors on Sunday.

This made Giannis hold the crown for the all-time appearance leader in Bucks history, surpassing Junior Bridgeman who held the record before him. Antetokounmpo had a hilarious reaction to him accomplishing this feat on Twitter, sharing goofy selfies of himself.

Giannis is a fun guy who is often seen smiling and joking. That doesn’t change the fact that he’s an absolute killer on the court, who has had to work very hard to get to the level of the NBA’s elite

The former NBA Champion is in the race to become a 3-time MVP this season and is playing for the best team in the league. He can likely take another step toward establishing himself as one of the greatest players the game has ever seen.

Is Giannis Antetokounmpo The Greatest Players In Bucks History?

The Bucks haven’t been a premier franchise like the Lakers or Celtics over the last 50 years but have definitely had some basketball royalty play for them. Arguably the greatest center of all time, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was drafted by the Bucks and won them a title, alongside Oscar Robertson. For generations, these two players have been considered the greatest the franchise has to offer. Until now.

Kareem’s basketball legacy was established in a Lakers jersey, not a Bucks jersey. He and Giannis both have brought one championship to Milwaukee, but Giannis has shown commitment to the franchise that Kareem didn’t.

Giannis is averaging an incredible 31.4 points 11.9 rebounds, and 5.5 assists this season. While wearing a Bucks jersey, Giannis has won 2 League MVPs, a Finals MVP, a Defensive Player of the Year, and countless All-Star, All-NBA, and All-Defensive appearances.

It’s hard to say there’s been a player in this history greater than Giannis given everything he has accomplished, he’s done it on this team as a homegrown product that they retained through competent team building.
