Golden State Warriors 3-Point Shooting Percentage Based On Last Season Will Scare The Other 29 NBA Teams

The Golden State Warriors once again have some of the best 3-point shooters on the roster.

There is no team who understands the importance of excellent 3-point shooting percentage more than the Golden State Warriors. During the mid-2010s, the Dubs started to rise to power behind the heroics of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.

While Green took care of things on the defensive end of the floor, the Splash Brothers destroyed teams with their insane 3-Point shooting abilities.

After the Warriors won the NBA Championships in 2015, almost every team in the league made the transition to getting better shooters from deep on their respective teams.

Many teams have tried that strategy, some have even gotten closer to the level of the Warriors, but none have actually surpassed the Dubs in having excellent shooters on the team.

It was once again evident after the Warriors had a phenomenal 2022 playoffs and ended up winning the NBA Championship. As usual, the biggest weapon in the arsenal of the Warriors was many players who could easily knock down shots from deep.

The Warriors Are Loaded With Excellent 3-Point Shooters

Jordan Poole recently mentioned the Warriors have a target on their backs since they will be defending their title this season. But the key to defending it is not losing their focus and doing what they do best.

The key to success for the Warriors has always been their insane ability to shoot the ball from deep, and once again, ahead of the 2022-23 NBA season, the Dubs have great 3-point shooters on the team.

1. Klay Thompson – 40.2%
2. Andrew Wiggins – 39.3%
3. Stephen Curry – 38.0%
4. Jordan Poole – 36.4%
5. Donte DiVincenzo – 33.9%
6. Jonathan Kuminga – 33.6%

The Warriors have six players who shot above 33% from deep in the 2021-22 NBA season. This is certainly good news for them. On the other hand, the Los Angeles Lakers are still in search of a few good 3PT shooters before it’s too late

Can the Warriors really defend their title this season? If they can play similarly to how they played last season, there’s no reason for us or the fans around the league to doubt them.
