Jamal Murray has had a great return season to the NBA after missing a year and a half due to injury. The Denver Nuggets are the best team in the West and Murray is ready to be the co-star Nikola Jokic needs.

Fans will try to heckle Murray and get him off his game, as recently happened during Pistons vs. Nuggets, where a fan said he’s seen Murray’s girlfriend perform sexual acts to the star.

The fan is likely referring to Murray infamously uploading a video of him getting intimate with his girlfriend at the time. Even NBA players trolled Murray about it at the time, but a fan bringing it up is definitely crossing the line. There’s no reason to disparage an unrelated woman over a basketball game.

Murray could have faced serious consequences if he laid a hand on the fan, who kept taunting and instigating the Nuggets’ point guard. There is no word on whether this exchange was investigated and if there are any repercussions the fans or Jamal need to face.

Jamal Murray Hoping To Stay Locked In

This moment with Murray has come at an unfortunate time as the Nuggets have started struggling late in the season. They are 2-4 in their last 6 games. Their position as the top seed in the West seems secure but their record may end up being worse than the top 3 seeds in the East.

Murray has averaged 20.1 points, 6.1 assists, and 3.9 rebounds this season, taking a while to get back into the groove of the game after his layoff. He scored 20 points in the first quarter in the Nuggets’ win over the Brooklyn Nets last night, so it’s clear to see he hasn’t lost his scoring ability completely.

The Nuggets will need bubble Murray to resurface and help them make a title run this postseason to maximize the form Nikola Jokic has been in for the last few seasons.
