The Boston Celtics are fighting to make history in Game 7 against the Miami Heat. The start to their game hasn’t been ideal, as the team trails the Heat 52-41 at halftime.

Jayson Tatum came out aggressive but ended up hurting his ankle at the start of the game. He’s been struggling with the foot since but has stayed in and is making an impact.

Tatum has been playing through the pain, but he is struggling to keep ignoring the pain, as he was visibly grimacing after certain plays in the game.

Tatum has been deferring to Jaylen Brown more often in this game. Tatum is 3/7 from the field and has scored only 6 points while Brown leads the C’s in scoring with 13 points on 5/13 shooting. Caleb Martin is not willing to let Miami’s season end, as he has 14 points and 7 rebounds in the first half, while Jimmy Butler has 11 points on 5/11 shooting.

Can The Celtics Fight Back?

This series has been one where the team that the odds are against often ends up succeeding. Nobody thought the Heat could jump out to a 3-0 series lead, but they did. After that, everyone thought the Celtics were done but they came back to win three consecutive games to tie the series up. Boston should have the advantage at home in Game 7, but the Heat have come out swinging and have a double-digit lead.

If Tatum’s ankle is seriously hurt, this game might be over for Boston, which would be a disappointing way to end their season. It doesn’t matter if they fought back from 3-0 to make it 3-3 if they ultimately lose the series. This is going to be an exciting second half.
