On Wednesday night, Kawhi Leonard did something that he hadn’t done in three years, play back-to-back games. He did it for the first time with the Los Angeles Clippers after being criticized for the infamous “load management” last season.
Now Kawhi is feeling better and is ready to help his team more than he could last season. The Klaw played his first back-to-back games this week, as the Clippers split results. They first lost to the Spurs on Monday before beating the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday. It was the first time in over 1300 days that Kawhi played in consecutive games.
After the game was over, Leonard addressed the situation, explaining that he’s feeling better now and is ready to do whatever it takes to take his team to the promised land. Leonard was dealing with ankle and knee injuries in recent seasons and that had affected his performances. Now things are different and he’s confident in the things he can achieve with the Clips.
“I think I’ll be playing. The last few years I was injured, working on getting my legs stronger. Been a long time, but I am able to play… my body is prepared. I felt good,” Kawhi said.

He finished the game with 21 points, going 7-for-12 from the field, earning the 108-101 win over a big rival in the Western Conference. Even though he starred in an alarming play with Draymond Green, Kawhi had the last laugh, beating the team that he defeated to win his second NBA championship two years ago.
