After going at it like two titans, Kevin Durant and Giannis Antetokounmpo shared a heartfelt moment following the Brooklyn Nets-Milwaukee Bucks series. They gave everything they had to lead their teams to the next series, with the Bucks having the last laugh at the Barclays Center.
A lot was said about Durant’s thoughts on Giannis during the series, but in the end, the 2x NBA champion showed all his respect for the Greek Freak, saying some encouraging words to him after Game 7 was over.
The Milwaukee Bucks recently released footage of that Game 7 where you can see Durant saying Giannis to ‘go get you one’ after exchanging some words (13:30).
This was a clear indication for Giannis to win a ring with his team. The 26-year-old has tried without success in the past couple of seasons, but various factors have prevented him from putting his hands on the Larry O’Brien trophy.
Now Giannis is about to start a new series against Trae Young and his Atlanta Hawks, trying to continue their good pace in the Eastern Conference. After defeating Durant, it’s time for Giannis to face Young, who is as inspired as him this postseason.
