Draymond Green has a habit of making some controversial statements, a lot of them stemming from his incredible confidence in the Golden State Warriors teams he has been on. In his latest big claim, Green suggested that the Warriors would be able to beat the legendary Bulls teams of the late 90s comfortably.

Understandably, there was a lot of backlash from fans, even though Green clarified that he said to signify why it’s impossible to compare across eras, it still wasn’t received well. He did get a hilarious reply from Kevin Durant, though, with Durant managing to take a fun shot at his former coach Steve Kerr.

“I can’t tell you what the results would be, but I do know that Steve Kerr would’ve demanded that we put Steve Kerr in as many pick and rolls as possible.”

Kerr was a part of both dynasties, the Bulls as a player and the Warriors as their head coach. He has won multiple NBA championships with both, and is one of the most successful personalities that the league has ever seen. Kerr also has a great sense of humor, so he would likely laugh off this dig from Durant.

Steve Kerr was a role player for most of his career, but he was an elite shooter, someone even Michael Jordan trusted to make the huge shots on the biggest stages. His defense would definitely not be what many would call elite though, especially if he went up against some of the players he coached, like Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry.

As a Head Coach, Kerr is quite shrewd too, and he would definitely point himself out as a weakness if he was scheming against himself. In any case, despite it looking unlikely that KD will return to the Warriors, it is good to see that he is still on amicable terms with his former teammates and coach.
