One of the biggest obstacles of LeBron James during his first stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers was the Boston Celtics that boasted the Big 3 of Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen. LeBron faced some big teams like the Detroit Pistons and the Dwight Howard-led Orlando Magic during that time but their biggest rivals were the C’s without any hesitation.
He had to leave Cleveland and go to Miami in order to beat the Celtics, raising a lot of criticism for that move. Garnett, part of that famous Big 3, has spoken about Bron’s first tenure in the Quicken Loans Arena, leaving a big message for all the LeBron fans around the world. According to the Big Ticket, the Celtics broke LeBron James in 2010 and made him question his stay in Cleveland.
“For all you LeBron lovers who don’t know sh*t. Who was actually four or even two years old when I was talking about this and this was going on for probably what? 10? Like what, 12, 13 now? And ‘oh, you didn’t do anything.’ I get it. You’re defending. You love LeBron.
“When we formed in Boston, and you can never get past that. That’s why I say, we took the jersey off in 2010, he buried that jersey under the TD Bank Arena. That 23 Bron jersey was buried under the garden,” Garnett said during a recent episode of the “Load Management” podcast.

Even if they did that, LeBron made sure to beat the Celtics during his stint with the Heat. He was inspired whenever he faced the C’s, having outstanding performances against Boston in the postseason. Perhaps KG is right and something changed for Bron after that second-round playoff loss to the Boston Celtics in 2010, but he dominated the Celtics during his seasons with the Heat, making it clear that he was the ruler of the East and the league.
