As one of the greatest guards in NBA history, Dwyane Wade achieved a level of notoriety many players will never know.

When he was playing, he drew everyone’s gaze and was an instant draw for fans and fellow players alike.

And now, even though he’s retired, Wade continues to bask in the spotlight, recently coming out with a new book detailing his life story both on and off the court.

For Wade, while this latest chapter of his life is different, he doesn’t have any regrets at all about his career or the journey he took along the way.

“I miss making a shot and seeing 20,000 people stand up, and I know they’re going to go home and their dinner [is] going to be better. Their relationship is going to be better. Like, I understand, like what sports do,” Wade told “CBS Mornings” co-host Gayle King…

…This is a game that I fought very hard to play. My mom went to jail when I was nine. My dad was in and out of jail. Growing up, I did not pass my ACT test to go to college. I had a baby in college,” he said. “Like all these things that will stop you from reaching your goals, and I kept fighting. I kept fighting because it was my dream.”

This new project, which has just been released, is a photographic memoir meant to celebrate and share his journey, and it’s been going viral online. Even Kim Kardashian gave him a little shout-out after on Instagram.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time a gift has been exchanged between the two. Not too long ago, Wade showed off a pair of Beats headphones he received from Kim for celebrating her 41st birthday.

At this point, it’s pretty clear that Wade has a solid relationship with the Kardashian family, and that’s great to see.

Regarding the book, well, you’ll just have to go out and buy a copy for yourself if you want to see what all the fuss is about.

Regardless, Dwyane Wade is living his best life, and we’re all excited to see what he has in store for us next.
