Klay Thompson finally returned to the court earlier this year, taking the Golden State Warriors’ championship hopes to the next level. Even though Stephen Curry has been sidelined for a couple of weeks now, his Splash Brother is doing the job in the meantime.
It took him a couple of months, but Klay is finding his rhythm once again, collecting several 30-point games in recent games, and putting the Western Conference on notice with his performances. Klay warned people about this, saying he would be ready to face the playoffs, which is exactly what’s happening.
Thompson’s love for the game is unmatched and he recently made some claims that perfectly explain how much he appreciates basketball. During a conversation with Serge Ibaka on ‘How Hungry Are You,’ Thompson was asked to select between getting laid or playing basketball.
Now, generally, a lot of people would pick the first option, but Klay is a true hooper and didn’t hesitate, going with basketball over having sex. He didn’t hesitate and gave a hilarious response to Ibaka’s question.
“Well, I mean, if you’re scoring 37 points in a quarter, I’m taking hoops,” he said with huge confidence.
Moreover, he talked about celebrities he hit up on social media, mentioning Red Hot Chilli Peppers’ Flea. The biggest question of the show, however, made Klay pick between his dog Rocco and his Splash Brother Stephen Curry. Ibaka asked him who he would keep between these two and Thompson couldn’t respond, so he decided to drink tea with crickets in it.
Thompson is doing a solid job leading the Golden State Warriors right now. They’re not where they wanted to be at this point, especially since Curry is out, but this team remains a huge threat to the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference. If Curry returns in good shape and Klay keeps his level, the Warriors could make a lot of noise in the upcoming playoffs.
