Kyle Kuzma On LeBron James: “He’s The MVP. He Shows It Every Night, Every Day He Comes In… 37 Points, Guarding Giannis For The Majority Of The Game.”

Yesterday, Charles Barkley called the media “stupid” for trying to make the case that LeBron James was the MVP this season. In his mind, what Giannis is doing with his roster far surpasses what anybody is doing.

Today, one of James’ own teammates, though admittedly biased, insisted the exact opposite. Here is what Kyle Kuzma told Harrison Faigen about the MVP race and why he’s taking Bron over anybody:

After the game, Anthony Davis also spoke up, detailing how Bron took on the challenge of guarding Giannis so so David wouldn’t get into foul trouble.

All of this is being revealed after the Lakers’ important win over Bucks, in which LeBron and Giannis had the chance to go head-to-head. James went off for 37 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists as he led his team to victory while Giannis dropped 32, 12, and 6.

Giannis may still be the favorite for MVP this season, but last night’s performance proved that James (at the very least) belongs in the conversation. And, after everything we’ve seen, who are we to argue?
