Kyrie Irving is arguably one of the misunderstood players in the NBA. Sure, Irving has been involved in several controversial incidents over the last few years. But below all those controversies is a genuinely nice human being.
It was proven once again when Kyrie Irving donated $45,000 to help children in Ghana and Nigeria get essential care. Upon being asked why Kyrie donated $45,000 to a noble cause, the Dallas Mavericks superstar had a heartwarming answer.
“There’s so much going on in our world, I just try to do little acts of kindness every single day,” Irving said. “There’s so much going on at times, and it could be very confusing and emotional.”
This has to be the most misunderstood man walking.

Kyrie Irving further explained how he has a family connection with the tribes in Ghana and Nigeria. Keeping that in mind, it’s no surprise that Kyrie donated $45,000 to help children in the said countries.
Irving has never been shy about making donations to fundraisers. But at the same time, he never likes to make those donations to earn fame. After all, if he had wanted that, Irving wouldn’t have at least $300,000 in secret GoFundMe donations.
Kyrie Irving Is A Man With A Big Heart
As we mentioned earlier, Kyrie Irving is never shy of making hefty donations. The Dallas Mavericks superstar has seemingly upped the ante ever since receiving a suspension for sharing a link to a movie spreading anti-Semitic disinformation.
According to ‘The Mirror,’ following Irving’s suspension last year, Kyrie donated a whopping $250,000 to charities. Irving also issued an apology for his actions.
Considering Kai’s suspension was lifted when he was still a member of the Brooklyn Nets, the total amount that Irving has donated to charities has certainly surpassed what ‘The Mirror’ reported a couple of months ago.
Hopefully, Irving continues to be a great human being and continues to donate money to help people in need.
