LeBron James After Taking 3-1 Lead In Finals: “The Job Is Not Done.”

2 Min Read

With his fourth Championship in sight, LeBron James didn’t even crack a smile in Game 4’s post-game press conference. Instead, looking as locked-in as ever before, he simply pointed out the work that still needed to be done.

“We understand what’s at stake. The job is not done and we get an opportunity to get our bodies back underneath us with an extra day of rest but also keep our minds sharp. I’m looking forward, once again, to looking at the film tomorrow, do around-the-clock treatment, and treating it like we play Thursday. I’m just going to continue to get the work in, continue to not sleep until the job is done.”

As a 3x NBA Champion, LeBron has been down this road before. He knows what it takes to win and has experienced what it is like to lose. As the superior squad, being up 3-1 likely means the series is over and many are already looking ahead. But LeBron is focused on closing the deal first, and he wants to make sure his team has that same mentality heading into Game 5 on Friday.

No doubt, it will be a tough match, as the Heat are never a team to go down without swinging.

Fortunately for the Lakers, they’ve got a guy in LeBron James who knows just what to do.
