  • LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and other NBA stars performed a shooting drill
  • They were tasked to score with two dribbles or less
  • A great drill to score efficiently from mid-range

Scoring from mid-range is becoming a lost art these days. Most players either focus on scoring from beyond the three-point line or simply drive to the rim.

In 2015, several NBA stars, such as LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Carmelo Anthony, and more were given an interesting two-dribbles or less drill at the Team USA training camp. James and Curry were among the players who didn’t even require a single dribble to score from mid-range.

The players who took zero dribbles to score were Stephen Curry, Chris Paul, and LeBron James. While Carmelo Anthony and Bradley Beal required one dribble to score. Lastly, Harrison Barnes was the only player in the video who took two dribbles to score from mid-range.

It’s certainly a great drill that aids the player in learning to create some space before scoring from the mid-range.

Stephen Curry Spoke About His Relationship With LeBron James

LeBron James and Stephen Curry have come a long way in the NBA. Fans most notably remember their battles in the NBA Finals for four straight years from 2015 to 2018.

Curry holds a 3-1 record over James in the NBA Finals. It’s part of why Curry believes his relationship with James is ‘complex.’

“It’s complex because you go from playing in the tournament, him coming to watch, to me coming in as a young rookie in the league and him giving me advice on how to get through some of the early struggles, that I was gonna go through as a player.

“To the four Finals appearances in a row playing against each other, to even last year playing in the playoffs again. So he’s a great dude, great friend, great competitor. It’s amazing to go back and look at where it all started.”

Underneath the complex part, Curry still says James is a great friend of his. Fans will hope to see them face off against each other again in the 2023-24 NBA season.
