LeBron James and Victoria Justice shared a sneak peek into the commercial the two filmed for James’ Lobos Tequila. In the video, Justice asks James, his name, to which LeBron repeats the iconic ‘Bond, James Bond’ slogan from the movies, but with his name instead, before sharing a handshake with the server.

Victoria Justice: “We haven’t had the pleasure of meeting yet, Mr…?”

LeBron James: “James. LeBron James.”

The overall plot and premise of the commercial are yet to be known, as not much was given away in the preview. But fans can expect a hilarious, yet suave presentation of James that highlights the smoothness of his Lobos Tequila. Commercials like these are a big part of why James moved to the Lakers in 2018.

While James wanted a change in scenery from the Cavaliers in 2018, a big reason he chose the Los Angeles Lakers was because of the ease of access he would have to some of the big power brokers in the entertainment industry. His business ventures like his production studio and his tequila brand would thrive better in the City of Angels.

James has benefitted greatly from the move. His production studio has been able to commit to making several episodes for shows like ‘The Shop’. And he even got to star in an unofficial sequel the 1996 movie, when he was in ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’.

This move worked out well for James, who has been able to skyrocket his empire greatly in the last six years and is currently boasting a net worth greater than $1 billion. And it wouldn’t be surprising if it continues to grow in the years to come.

LeBron Still Aiming For Championship Gold

While LeBron James moved to the Lakers for the improved opportunities in the business and entertainment sector, he didn’t let that slow down his career, or soften his ambition. James was able to bring a championship to the Lakers in 2020, and in 2023, the Lakers made a surprising run to the Western Conference Finals.

Any team that has LeBron James has a chance to compete for the NBA championship. While James is no longer the player he once was, he is still one of the best players in the world. And when paired alongside another superstar, like Anthony Davis in the Lakers, he can deliver a championship.

Currently, the Lakers are not considered one of the favorites to win the NBA championship, as they have made virtually no changes to their roster this season. The Lakers are the only team that hasn’t signed a free agent so far, nor have they made any big trade to tinker with the team and improve it going forward.

Of course, we are still two months out from the NBA season starting, and the Lakers could decide to pull the trigger on a big move. But considering the available players in the trade market, and the limited assets they have, it looks like LeBron James and Anthony Davis will have to do the heavy lifting once again next season.
