Fresh off a Championship victory over his former team, LeBron James is ready for the pursuit of another. With the basketball legend turning 36 in late December, all the pressure is on for him and his squad to make the most of the opportunity before them, and they haven’t taken that lightly.

With the champagne still fresh on their minds, team President Rob Pelinka got to work making a series of moves to make the Lakers better, including the acquisitions of Dennis Schroder, Wesley Matthews, Montrezl Harrell, and Marc Gasol.

In his first public interview since his title victory, LeBron provided some comments on the new additions to his club. He seemed more than pleased.

the most interesting bit is when specifically talks about ‘Trez, talking through the process and how many of Harrell’s own teammates were surprised by the move.

James: “He was our next-door neighbor. we knocked and said ‘you like what’s going on over here?'”

Allie Clifton: “That was honestly the moment of free agency when everyone was like ‘whaaaat?'”

James: “Including some of his teammates. They actually put that on social media, I’m not making it up. We got Trez, who, sixth man of the year award winner whose gonna help our bench.”

The amount of confidence LeBron beams in this segment should scare every single team in the NBA.

He seems ready and his team is stronger than ever. Needless to say, taking their crown will not be an easy thing to do.
