Ahead of the 2024 NBA Draft, LeBron James feels like a proud father watching his eldest son prepare for the NBA world. In a post on Instagram hours before the event, LeBron sent a message of support for his boys and expressed gratitude over the journey so far.

“Not a feeling in the f**kin world better than being around raising my boys to MEN! Pops over here getting emotional as hell just thinking about y’all journey so far! Thank you both for allowing me to be your DAD and be a part of your compass through life’s trials and tribulations!”

LeBron, 39, is in the throws of another off-season and there is no doubt that he’s been hard at work in the gym and the weight room all summer long. This year, however, his routine includes preparing his own son for his jump to the big leagues.

During his freshman season at USC, Bronny averaged just 4.8 points per game but he was coming off a major health scare due to cardiac arrest. During his limited minutes on the court, Bronny wasn’t always dominant but he showed enough to generate some interest from teams, which increased drastically after the combine.

Currently, James is projected to be a mid to late second-round pick and it just so happens to line up perfectly with where the Lakers are in this year’s draft. With the 17th and 5th picks this year, the franchise will have two opportunities to pick up James but they aren’t the only ones in pursuit.

Various teams across the league are known to have an interest in Bronny, including the Suns, Mavericks, and Golden State Warriors. For now, though, the Lakers are viewed as the favorites for obvious reasons.

LeBron And Bronny Seen Running Pre-Draft Workouts

Bronny is projected to be a role-player, at best, but he knows his role, and all he wants next is to hear his name get called on draft night. While his last name is certainly enough to get his foot in the door, Bronny knows as much as anyone that hard work is the key to his success.

So when he posted a video of himself, his dad, and his friends in the lab together, it was seen as a sign of good things to come.

Bronny has all the tools of a successful NBA prospect. On the court, he’s a player who can do it all, from making plays to hitting shots, to handling the ball and running an offense. Defensively, he can hold his own against the best scorers and knows how to back up his teammates when they make a mistake.

The spotlight will be on James from the very beginning and he’ll have to rely on a lifetime of training to deal with the pressure that will be thrown his way. So far, he’s handled it all with grace and has exceeded all expectations as a 19-year-old teenager fresh out of college.

Whether he’s on the Lakers or another franchise, whoever drafts Bronny will be getting a team player, a hard worker, and a brilliant leader both on and off the court. It seems that LeBron has passed on some of his best traits to the young basketball star.
