Like most of his NBA peers, LeBron James is in the early stages of the offseason and he’s making the most of his extended time off. Just a day after dancing at the club to Kendrick’s new album, James took to Instagram to post himself “in flames” over Gunna’s new album, “One of Wun.”

“This Gunna so damn [fire]! As you can tell by my current state! That boy be floating man,” wrote James on Instagram. “One of Wun.”

Gunna, an iconic rap artist, became a controversial figure following a 2022 plea deal that saw him on the other side of a racketeering case against many of his former associates at YSL Records. He released an Album a year later, ‘A Gift & A Curse’ that shed some light on his side of the story.

In this latest album, his fifth in total, Gunna takes a more serious approach and targets those who fail to believe in him. After years of hearing the noise and criticism, Gunna sent a message that he still remembers what was said and that he has no regrets over how it all played out. He also may have taken a shot at Drake in the process, which implies that he’s on the side of Kendrick Lamar in the ongoing rap beef.

As a lover of the arts, it’s no surprise that LeBron James has taken a special interest in Gunna and his music and many of the themes in the album make a fitting message for LeBron at this stage of his career, who is battling his own group of doubters and hates at every turn.

In this offseason, LeBron is doing everything he can to make a comeback and close his career on his terms. And while the summer ahead will be a historically busy one for the King, he isn’t going to let the opportunity slip to enjoy the music, relax his mind, and take some time to himself before the grind starts up again in July.

With just a few years left in his career, LeBron is committed to closing this chapter as a winner and it will take everything he has to ensure the Lakers can keep up with the competition. Just like Gunna, James has been hearing all the doubters and he’s more driven now than ever to prove them wrong like he has so many times before.
