Los Angeles Clippers Trade Eric Bledsoe, Justise Winslow And Keon Johnson For Norman Powell And Robert Covington

The Los Angeles Clippers have started to make some changes to their roster, shipping one of their veteran guards away. Eric Bledsoe was one of the three players (Marcus Morris and Serge Ibaka) they were looking to trade before the trade deadline and their wish is now granted.

The Californians made business with another squad trying to add quality pieces to compete in the Western Conference, acquiring two interesting players from the Portland Trail Blazers.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports that Eric Bledsoe, Justise Winslow, Keon Johnson and future second-round pick will be sent to the Trail Blazers in exchange for Norman Powell and Robert Covington. The second-rounder is a 2025 pick via the Detroit Pistons, Wojnarowski adds.

Both these teams have struggled without their biggest stars on the court, although the Clippers seem to be in a better position without Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. The Californians are making the right moves to compete once their duo returns to action, which is unlike to happen this season.

As for the Blazers, they are missing Damian Lillard right now, and he’s in a similar position to Leonard and George. The Blazers have been urged to find some help for the point guard and this could be a good start for them.

Hopefully, these two teams can get better with this move, as we enter the last six days before the 2022 trade deadline strikes.
