Luka Doncic is one of the biggest superstars in the NBA right now. The Dallas Mavericks superstar is a magician on the court.

But Luka’s magic faded away against the Golden State Warriors as he had a forgettable game against the defending champions of the NBA. In the fourth quarter, Doncic also expressed his frustration with referees after a no-call on a layup attempt by with 3.2 seconds remaining in the game.

Luka made the money gesture, insinuating that the refs were paid to give decisions against the Mavericks. The refs made some questionable decisions during the game. One of the most obvious ones was when the Warriors got an uncontested dunk when the entire Mavs team was lined up on the wrong end of the floor.

Doncic and co. ultimately lost the game as the final score stood at 127-125 in favor of the Warriors.

NBA Fans React To Luka Doncic Making The Money Gesture At The Referee

Luka Doncic is undoubtedly one of the best players in the league, but he has never had a great relationship with referees. Doncic has a tendency to complain a tad bit too much and has admitted in the past that he’s working to fix that habit.

Either way, Luka is yet to show any major progress in that department. Keeping that in mind, NBA fans on Twitter had some negative reactions to Luka making the money gesture at the ref against the Warriors.

Comments have been edited for clarification:

“He and Wood combined had more free throws than the whole Warriors team and are complaining, the biggest crybaby in the league,” a fan tweeted.

“Bro gets every call and absolutely falls apart when the going gets rough lmao,” another fan tweeted.

“Lol he got more whistles than the whole GSW team. L,” another fan tweeted against Luka.

“More free throws than anyone on the floor and complaints just as much,” another fan called out Doncic.

“He will get fined but refs need to be held accountable,” a fan tweeted a semi-positive message for Doncic.

Most fans believe that Luka overreacted to the no-call as it was during the final quarter of the game.

Many fans also pointed out that Doncic still got 10 attempts at the free-throw line. However, he shot just 6-10 from the charity stripe and it played a huge role in the Mavericks’ defeat. All things considered, fans indeed believe that Doncic needs to tone down his complaints against the refs.
