Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban wasn’t pleased with the referees despite his team pulling off a double-overtime win against the Los Angeles Lakers.

The officiating was the topic of discussion throughout the game with a couple of close calls going against both sides, however, Dallas managed a close 119-115 win in the end.

Cuban, for one, didn’t mince his words when he took to Twitter to express his displeasure over the lack of foul calls for his team’s superstar Luka Doncic. Also critiquing the decision-makers on the side was analyst Stan Van Gundy.

Stan van gundy is absolutely right. Worst officiated game. Luka gets no respect. Unreal.

The lack of calls didn’t seem to bother Doncic as he went about business as usual dropping yet another triple-double this season. He finished his evening with 35 points, 14 rebounds, and 13 assists.

“I’m More Tired Now”: Luka Doncic Explains His Mindset After The Controversial Game

Doncic has been on a tear, and his production coupled with his extreme load has had fans and the locker room worried. Earlier this season, head coach Jason Kidd was vocal about the physical and mental fatigue his star would face over the course of the season.

On his part, the 23-year-old has been a scintillating and singular driving force for Dallas averaging 34.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 8.8 assists. He’s well on his way to earning his MVP title given his consistency, but after the game against LA that was marred by questionable officiating, he explained he need a breather.

Per ESPN:

“I’m more tired now,” said Doncic, who rested for only 9 seconds in the final 40 minutes of play. “I think I was good in the game with the energy. Now I need to rest.”

The win puts the Mavericks at a healthy 24-19 record and fourth in the Western Conference. Up next, they play the Portland Trail Blazers back-to-back hoping to further consolidate their strong position. And all the while hoping that the refereeing will be much better than what it was on Thursday.
