Suns owner Mat Ishbia has only been on the job for a few weeks, but he’s already scoring more victories for his steam than some owners have in decades. Back in February, he pulled the trigger behind the Kevin Durant trade, and now he’s in the aftermath of a court-side altercation with Nikola Jokic that earned his team late free throws in the must-win game.

At first, Ishbia refused to speak about the situation and seemingly ducked any conversations about the topic. But after discovering that Jokic might get suspended for the scene, Ishbia made sure to let the world know his true feelings on the matter.

“Great win for the Suns last night in an amazing series so far! That should be and is the only story. Suspending or fining anyone over last nights incident would not be right. I have a lot of respect for Jokic and don’t want to see anything like that. Excited for game 5! Go Suns!”

The Suns were obviously able to escape with the win on Sunday and now the series is tied at 2-2 going back to Denver. There, the Nuggets will hope to re-take command of the series and put Phoenix on their heels.

But with Devin Booker and Kevin Durant, the Suns will not go down easily and they seemingly still have some more tricks up their sleeve.

Is Devin Booker The Best Player In The Playoffs Right Now?

Surprisingly, it hasn’t been Kevin Durant who has been torching the Nuggets. It has been mostly Devin Booker and his performance through these past few weeks has really elevated his status as one of the top league elites.

“Devin Booker, I’m sorry, I owe you an apology,” said O’Neal. “I got on TV and said you won’t go 20-25 again, you messed around and went 14-18. So, sir, I apologize and I love the way you’re playing.”

So even with Nikola Jokic getting caught up in a scandal with Mat Ishbia, the story of the series remains the dominance of Devin Booker and the way the continues to put the Suns on his back.

Hopefully, both teams are able to stay healthy and on the court so we can see them at their best.
